"I Can't Breathe!"


Instead of writing words echoing the evident collective distress at the momentous events, here's a selection of the photographs I made on June 2, 2020 during a peaceful protest march that started in Washington Square Park. To start, these words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. are appropriate:

"Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can't ride you unless your back is bent."
