NYC's TESLA TAKEDOWN


On March 1, 2025, demonstrators gathered outside the Manhattan Tesla showroom to protest the automaker’s CEO and his push to slash government spending. The protest, which the NYPD said involved hundreds of people (out of which nine people were arrested), was one of a wave of "Tesla Takedown" demonstrations staged across the United States targeting Musk, who heading the administration's so-called Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.

It was one of the 50 such demonstrations in the United States caused by the increasing backlash in North America and Europe to Musk’s disruptive role in Washington.
