MAHOGANY ON THE BOWERY
Following a photo shoot with Mahogany on the grungy Bowery, I experimented with various LUTs, which include Neopan and Tri-X LUTs. I haven't decided whether to show her gallery in color or black & white...but this experiment reminded me of the quote by Dominic Rouse...“Color is everything, black and white is more.”
To be continued.

CHERRY | Looking For Red In Chinatown
Cherry Fu is an Asian-American actress born in Queens, New York. She's a Mandarin and English speaker. She was discovered at the age of 14 doing runway shows for NYC's Asia Business Center. A few years later, she started acting and modeling full time.
She holds a business degree, majoring in fashion, merchandising and art. She also enjoys kendo, gun shooting, archery and kickboxing.
The photo shoot's concept was for Cherry to wear a red cheongsam (aka qi pao) and pose at chosen Chinatown locations that have as much red as possible...
Larger photos of the shoot are here and OnThe Street blog.

LENA THE ÜBER ARTIST | Monochrome
Lena (aka Lena Whooo?) is a German multi-dimensional artist, an actress, a model, a theater teacher, an environmentalist, an activist and a book author.
We scheduled a photo shoot at Freeman Alley, the famous graffiti'ed alley on the Bowery in New York City.
Black-and-white photography is considered by some to be more subtle and interpretive, and less realistic than color photography. Monochrome images are not direct renditions of their subjects, but are abstractions from reality, representing colors in shades of grey. Black-and-white photography is considered by some to add a more emotional touch to the subject, compared with the original colored photography.
