The daily buzz in Washington Square Park was noticeably subdued during the first weeks of August; perhaps a combination of unusual hot weather, vacation time and an increased NYPD presence to tamp down illicit weed "marketing" and loud music.
While cannabis sellers are still visibly non grata, the activity returned with artists returning to peddle their paintings, posters et al...and it does feel safer these days. So it was nice to have Trinity -an artist- agree to pose for my camera at the fountain. It's been a while since I've done that.
