Hooked On LUT's #4

Since June 2021, Washington Square Park (also known as "the epicenter of everything" in Lower Manhattan) has seen a revival of sorts after it being depressingly dormant during the dark days of the pandemic.

Its Fridays and weekends are seeing an influx of vendors of all kinds; clothes (some look used but others new), handmade jewelry, paintings of all types, handmade candles (some are fashioned like dildos), and naturally weed and "edibles" that are now legal in the city.

The vendors are an eclectic bunch, and their wares reflect it. One of the loveliest (and there are many others) is Gianna Dee who sells clothes in her mobile/pop up thrift shop. She happily posed for my camera for a few moments when she wasn't busy, and we connected with Instagram...the social media of choice of many here in the Square.

From her Instagram feed, I saw she models clothes, bags and jewelry in various pop up sites in NYC...and is quite a traveler. There's more that meets the eye in many of the creatives that frequent the Square, that's for sure.
